CVMG Paris Rally

That last shot is our camp spot (my two bikes are in that pic).
What looks like a bone stock Seca 650 is a sleeper. It's actually the turbo model with stock plastics. The handle mounted gages are connected to bungs in the 1 and 2 header pipe in order to get baseline tuning readings so he has a benchmark for when he swaps to a 900cc top end.

I brought up the fairing off my drag wing and labeled it $40 OBO ( Free after 2pm Saturday). Came back after the reliability run/lunch and saw it sitting across the way. I wandered over and said "I don't know what time it is but it's after 2" I was glad to be rid of it. And even better I found out he had handed my buddy 20$ for it.

Just a heads,up this is the last Rally in Paris. Next year they move to Burford.

Your "Seca" looks great. Like the look of the beefier front end. Still have the 8" headlight?
The green looks great, is that a Euro colour or something you did on your own?

Yeah it's a sweet build, but it's not mine. It belongs to a friend.

Apparently, Paris upped the rent and I don't know how that affects the local economy.

Civic groups often run concessions and local restaurants and shops get a bit more business.

Trickle down theories.

That's what they were saying at the rally - upped rent. But there was also chatter about the fairgrounds being developed......

I expect that's the case, though I have no first hand knowledge. While riding out I ventured to the opposite end of the property. There's a huge swath of disused parking, and what looks like temporary stables.
And didn't they have flat track racing in that part of the property at one time?

The curse of venues that need land. They have to turn huge dollars to justify land costs. To get the attendance they need to be near major centers. It doesn't usually work out.
