CVMG Paris Rally

I’ve always wanted to go to that. I’m in the north Whitby area, so probably about 2 hours away. Is it worth the trip? Which is the best day to be there?

Hard to say if it's worth it for you. What are your personal tastes? Saturday is best. It is sometimes just as much fun to check out the parking lot. The SOCT will have a trials demo.

I will be there with my latest toy a 1980 Moto Guzzi V50ii.
Beware !!!! motorcycles are like smoking weed, fun but expensive!
Vintage motorcycles are like crack cocaine, addictive.

I love all motorcycles but my main interests are late 70’s early 80’s Japanese sport bikes/super bikes.
I remember those days of huge power, questionable handling, and marginal brakes.
Back when you actualy had to KNOW how to ride.

I went for the first time last year and really enjoyed it. There is something for everyone. For sure bikes in the parking lot are just as interesting. Beautiful area to ride, the worst part was going through Cambridge, every light was red. You can park in the main parking area (gravel) even if the signs last year said for registered only. I parked on the grass over flow and if you do, bring a side stand plate as the ground may be soft.
I didn't realize it was this weekend.

I'm coming from Port Hope. The worst part for me is everything from Oshawa out past Mississauga.

It used to be that I could take the highway out to Guelph Line and go up to Hwy 5 then west. It WAS quiet and relatively rural pretty much the whole way with Waterdown being a little busier. It isn't anymore.

I guess that is too long at to keep off the 401. I went the backroads and there was a road closure and GPS routed me through Cambridge. On the way back it was hot and I wanted to get back quick so Cambridge again. The rest of the local roads were empty and fun.
Looking at Google maps, by going around Cambridge it adds 15 minutes, so worthwhile.
Of course if you leave at 6:00 am on a Saturday you are golden.

I'll leave relatively early on Saturday and take 401/QEW. I find there are more good roads/interesting places well south of the 401.

It's not a horrible day trip, just not the nice, relaxed day trip it once was.

At least it's strawberry season so I can enjoy a couple of quarts on the way. The Adelaide Hoodless homestead is a nice quiet rest stop close to Paris.

Absolutely! Saturday is the day. Sunday things wrap up fast.
Will be there early Friday and leave after the breakfast on Sunday. If you see my white 76 Honda Super Sport and the tan 68 Honda tiddler in front of a white campervan stop and say hello. You'll have to venture to other side of the race track though. Likely worth it as the Poole Motorcycle Collection and Family Reunion usually sets up camp across from us.

I am sorry to be missing it as I have committed to other stuff on Saturday. Not taking the drag Gold Wing?
