Criminalizing MC Patches

Word on the street is that most of the bikers were shot by jittery police, time will tell. Also, taking off the patches won't make any difference. It will just drive the gangs to do their business underground, the way the mafia does. Banditos claim ownership of Texas territory. Wearing the bottom rocker with Texas on it declares that ownership. Cossacks dispute that claim and wear Texas on their bottom rocker. Law enforcement is better off with gangs that wear colours so they can be identified.

It seems like it is not criminalizing the patch, but "civilizing" it, since trademark infringements are generally civil, not criminal cases. It would be interesting to see what a court case fighting the seizure would look like.
It is a means of harassing the groups instead of detecting or prosecuting crimes. Shifty law enforcement tactics are a great recruiting tool for gangs. U.S. prosecutors also have a reputation for being bigger scumbags than the the people they prosecute. It's an abuse of process by the California authorities and those seizure and civil forfeiture laws are going to cause a revolt. When you look at how those things go in other countries, everything seems fine, then over the period of a few days it all comes down. It's just not smart law enforcement.

RoadGhost has it right. At least right now you can identify them. Take away their colours and you're dealing with an enemy you don't know.
Frankly i dont think you understand what organized gang means..... Thats their jobs.... Being a gang member.
I doubt you even have a ball to say a single wordto their faces. Easier to be a keyboard warrior tho

What are you? Twelve? Why would any sane person feel the need to confront a group of known criminals who have demonstrated numerous times that they are capable of extreme violence?
I don't think you understand what "real job" or "grown up" means.
I have a family to support, children I'm trying feed, real life problems. I don't really need a bunch of kids wanting to live "the thug life" shooting up restaurants, and endangering the general public.
The fact that I get out of bed, go to work, love my family and help my neighbours, all without any real personal gain (trust me, look at my bank accounts) means that I have more balls than the whole gang put together.
I just don't want to fight them.

Anyway, it seems you call every thugs children because in you OPINION, having a family, a "real " job ( even you dont know what real is) and helping neighbours is what growup do.
Here is a new idea: let anyone live their lives and you live yours. Thats actually what grow up would understand.
You can hate their lives or how they choose theirs but you dont know what grow up is and having a ball mean.

These are criminal organizations. Pimps and drug dealers, pushers, kiddie porn, and human trafficking. That's their "job".
How bad is your life that you look up to these people?
I think they are on to something here. It is a powerful recruiting tool. Take it away and they cannot be seperated from the SOA wannabees.

It is their "job" as it is the main source of income not that it is some sort of thing to look up to.
It might also make rival gang members harder to identify by another gang's members, and thus reduce the potential for deadly street showdowns over "interlopers" openly showing gang colours while in other gang's supposed turf.
What's the big woopdeedoo about acronyms, pro or con? If you want to belong to SOA(Stamp Out Acronyms) it shouldn't be anybody's business. FTP.
