Connecting Heating Gear + GPS OK for bike?

Hey guys,

I have a 2007 Suzuki GSXR 600 and I have purchased the gerbings heated vest, gloves, and dual controller. Setting up the wiring isn't a problem, however I will also run a garmin gps from the battery (with a relay) and possibly an iphone charger. Will the battery be able to handle this much electric output? I am also considering purchasing the gerbings heated pants. Has anyone run 2 gerbings products + gps with their bike? Obviously I know to always use these things with the bike on, and ideally, running at decent speed.

Thanks

The GPS or a cellphone charger/12V socket themselves won't draw very much power, especially in comparison to heated gear.

I have a Garmin Zumo mounted which is almost always connected, and use it with my Tourmaster Synergy heated jacket liner frequently. I don't know what the Gerbings gear's draw is like though, you'd need to take a look at the combination of their gear + any other devices you have connected..

The jacket liner I have claims up to 75W draw I believe, and I assume that's only at high heat setting -- but that said, my V-Strom only has something like 130W of reserve power available, so if I were using their heated pant liner as well, for example, I'd probably reach/exceed my available power output before the GPS would even be a consideration. (GPS probably draws a few watts at most, like maybe 5-10W I'd guess.)
