Comfy seat for my F3

Hey guys,
I'm going on a 7 day ride in August and wondering if there is any way to make my seat more comfy. It's already fairly comfy compared to the newer sport bikes, but I need even more cushion. What do you guys suggest?

I was thinking of wrapping some sort of foam or gel around it. The corbin seats are $300+, so that's not an option.

thanks

I use this all the time. It is a miracle worker, and it comes on sale for $10 at Candain Tire all the time.

Consider a sheep skin seat cover ( yeah you have to put up with a lot of baaaad jokes). Check out: http://www.alaskaleatheronline.com.

I ordered one from them (really in Alaska) received it in about 10 days via Canada post and did a round trip to Little Rock Arkansas and it woked out great. No Monkey Butt!

On sale Cantire sells a gel seat for cars for $10. The gel is in a honeycomb design, which while providing more even distribution of weight and shock absorption also allows air flow between the cells. The honeycomb design is used a lot in wheelchair seating.

An added bonus is that the gel is hypoallergenic and immune to urine odour absorption and staining, a possible benefit for long distance travel. I prefer more frequent breaks, but to each his own.

Just came back from a week long road trip on a Suzuki RF600R. What I did was purchase an office seat memory foam/gel cushion from Costco for $16. Opened up the black fabric to get to the foam and trimmed the edges down to shape to fit the size of my seat. Just removed the staples from the under side of the seat holding the vinyl over the seat and slid the new cushion into place and just used a staple gun to fasten the vinyl cover back into place. Was a quick, easy and cheap fix that did the job although it did raise the seat height slightly so now I will remove some foam from the original seat so the new foam will take the contour of the original factory seat.

Good luck if you try this!!
