Clothing under tracksuit

What do you folks wear under your one/two piece suits?

Some UA stuff? VnM gear?
 
I have two sets of under gear. One set is PUG gear, and the second set is a PUG shirt with VnM pants. There is quite a bit of difference in the material used for both so I would recommend checking them out to see which you like better. I just got the VnM pants last time at the track so only wore them for part of a day. The PUG stuff I have had for about 4 years and like it a lot. I think it is about $100ish for a set, Rider's Choice has it or used to, Pro6 may have some(they also sell the VnM stuff). The VnM stuff was a little more money.
 
I wear thin bicycle shorts with Nike full leg compression tights over top. For shirts I just wear MEC brand short or long sleeved moisture wicking shirts. Long sleeves on hotter days so I can get in and out of the suit easier.

This. The moisture wicking is great to have and you don't melt wearing this stuff.
 
I guess it would be a good idea to wear the stuff you folks have mentioned above to go try on suits right?

Anything in particular I should look for in a suit? The most I know is that Kangaroo is lighter in weight than cow hide and that there are one or two piece suits.
 
VnM top and bottom - That **** rocks. Only bad thing, is no matter how in shape you are, that stuff makes you look fat..I'm fat so it makes me even fatter!

Figure out what protective gear your going to wear under the suit (back/chest protector, padded shorts is what I wear) and try a suit on with the extra gear. One piece is a better choice if your going to be riding track only. Kangaroo costs more but doesn't necessarily offer more protection.

If you are considering ever doing track then buy a one piece. I will also say don't pay attention to brands purchase the one that fits you the best and has the most features to fit your budget. Racer5/Speedworx has a great product when it comes to suits that are very inexpensive yet carry a lot of features and are extremely durable.

Brands tend to invest a lot in R & D and have their reputation to defend. If you want to invest in a no name, untried suit that could come apart on you as you slide down the asphalt then knock yourself out.

That isn't to say that brands conquer all. Do your research, do your trying on (with under gear as dricked says) then make your own decision.

That is the major point. There are a lot of good suits out there without the name and price point attached.

I run both since I figured the two piece would be handier for street riding. The only time the two piece makes more sense is if I have to take a crap...lol
