Chain & Sprockets

So after 55 000km, it's time to replace the chain and sprockets. Where can I get the best deal for a kit (preferably with a chain tool)? I was looking at D.I.D. and RK, but really my only criterion is that it's gold. :)

Also, is Pete's still the best place to deal with for tires?

I believe Pete also sell chains.
Get the rivetter from Royal

I noticed that before I bought my rubber. Just wanted to get some feedback, since I know f all about chains and sprockets, other than I need new ones.

Good God, does the Royal website blow. No search function, and the 'chain' link in the index takes me to snowmobile chains. lol

since I know f all about chains and sprockets,

I just put the chain on this afternoon (between Gtaming). The grease packet with the master link indicates the grease is not to be eaten.

You mean the cream cheese packet?

Look around on the net for prices and then call around to shops and see what they can do for you. Stay with steel sprockets if you want long life. Stay with either DID or RK for chains (DID ERV3 would be an excellent choice).

The best place to deal with for tires would be Competition Cycle, ask for Dave!
He also has chains and sprockets in stock and won't steer you wrong in terms of quality and price.

Any chaintool worth owning will cost just as much as the chain you're needing it for.

just picked up a chain and sprockets, and a new rear tire from pete a couple weeks ago.

I am about to do the same, he has what I need, the prices are good, and I will have it in a few days.....and if I have a problem there is a place to call and ask for a refund, return or exchange....even with the shipping it still better than driving to some places or ordering from the US.....

Pretty much this. I got everything I needed in one stop, no haggling on price, just order and it shows up.
