Does anyone know where to get a cheap, used, good condition rear rotor for my new to me 1999 CBR 600 F4 that is close?

I picked this bike up on Saturday and in order to get it safetied I will need to replace the rotor (mechanic didn't tell me this, personally wouldn't feel safe).

The rotor is straight but is very "Bumpy"

if you know where I could find one for cheap with in the next few days (after Thanksgiving of course unless a private seller) any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Geoff

You could see if MikeyMoto has one for your bike! Mind you, if you don't trust yours cause it's a "little bumpy" I'm not sure how you'd feel about his ;)

My buddy had a ninja 500 with a rear rotor that was the same. After 2 tanks of gas worth of riding, it was smooth. Only found that out after he bought a new one, so it is worth riding a bit first to see.

Jamie, I said cheap lol I know those are cheap for new rotors but I just need one that will work because my rear is in about the same state as Sabex's rotor was.

@ Mina

I have seen those. I was hoping for something that I could pick up. Maybe a local salvage shop or someone parting out. Because I want to have on the road by the end of the week.

Thanks tho,

Cheers,
Geoff

Are you kidding? The weight savings will unleash the power of your bike!! lol

Unless he's Stoner, I don't see how he can make use of that weight savings ;)

Seems like that is more for show.
How much do you use your rear brake anyway? As long as it still grips enough to lock it up for tech inspection ;)

On my rear I put Ferodo SinterGrip ST pads, Fren Tubo Type 4 Carbon Fiber lines and RBF 660 fluid in there and it brakes at least as good as OEM did :D

Seems like a waste if you're not getting better braking than an OEM set up!
