CBR 125 engine upgrade?

Even when I get a 600 I don't plan on selling my 125. I plan to use it as my weekly commuter bike. The thing is dirt cheap to own and operate.

I live in an apartment with zero security. You'll notice all the condo theft threads here, I can only imagine how quick a 600 would go if I was forced to park it on the street as I would have to living where I do.

My ultimate goal is to tweak the 125 to my liking and use it as a commuter bike 5 days a week during riding season. Then, when I can afford it, purchase a 600 and store it at my parents or friends garage and then take it out for the weekend rides.

Edit: I realize that my comments in a previous post may lead some to think I planned to ditch the 125 when I upgrade, this isn't the case.

As Brian P did. His 'Wee-BR' gets a lot more seat time than his much much much much faster bike.

I'm quite aware...after all, I just bought his bike for the same reason.

I dont know, I've only ridden it once since I got it and I dont remember how stock feels like.

If you go by the amount of extra fuel that you have to set the controller to, it wants around 14% more fuel on top.

It will not turn the bike into a Hayabusa-beater. It will let the bike pull 6th gear more of the time, it will let the bike go up a little steeper hill before you have to downshift.
