Bought a Cardo 1+2+ communicator 4 years back for my daughter & I as we ride together on my bike.
Is there anyone who has information about the longevity of this as when I bought this it costed me around $400.00 if not more.
 
I think I've had my Freecom 4+ about that long, got it just after it came out. Still works fine, and I'm bad about sometimes leaving it uncharged over the winter after my last ride of the season. Is it not taking a charge when you plug it in?
 
Seems to be holding it's charge, but had to call Cardo as I was confused with some of it's features & they told me that what I have is an older unit as well they said there is only 1 update available which I installed.
My concern is how much longer this will work as I paid over $400.00 four years back & I maintain the units over the winter months by not letting them go dead with it's charge.
 
Software updates for this model are just to fix bugs or add features. No surprise there are no more updates based on its age, which only means it will continue to function as it does now for as long as the battery is good. And when that goes, there's a thread here on how to replace it.
