Can we link to our own for-sale ada?

I put up an ad in the classifieds for a bike I am selling and will probably put up ads on Kijiji/Facebook. Is it bad form to reference or link to these from other forums, e.g new riders or the general forum?

I wouldn’t be spamming but I know not too many browse the classifieds and I’d like to make it more visible to people who might be interested.

I wouldnt do that. Fills the forum with pointless threads that just point elsewhere. Now, if someone posted in general that they were looking for a bike and you thought yours fit their needs, replying with a link would be helpful.
 
I do that via PM - discussion is not normally in the ad post itself afaik.
I guess no harm in trying a linked reply
