Can anyone ID this bike please?

I paid significantly less for my FJ, and it was in better condition than that.

Looks like a fun thing to work on though. It must scream @ 14.5k RPM.

Mine's redline is up to 18.5K .... It does sound cool even with completely stock pipe. It leaves an impression you are flying, yet you are not .... LOL

While I do like to work on mine, smaller does not always mean fun to work on. Access to some of the things is just frustrating. Splitting the engine means you have to take it completely apart due to a couple of bolts holding crankcases together in very ill designed places. Carbs are really tiny and needs to be kept squeeky clean ....

Anyway, they are fun spare bikes .... 4 cyl. 250cc from late 80's or early 90's.

Anyway, if someone can't type an ad properly, do you think they looked after the bike ok?
I shouldn't be racing my bike then, since it turns out I can't maintain it with my English skills

Actually, scratch that, it used quad mikuni 26mm carbs. But the issue with this bike is that it isn't a 1986 FZR250 - it's actually a 1985 FZR250 "Phazer", which was the precursor to the famed FZR250 race bike. I knew something was off!
