Cameras between 407 exits?

Quick question to those who take the 407 often; do they have cameras along the main stretch of highway in between exits to pick up plates that weren't photographed clearly enough at an entrance?

In other news, I recently got a fender eliminator :)

just at entrances/exits

be aware that you can be pulled over and ticketed by OPP for having a plate placement that prohibits the toll cameras from capturing it

Also, a bunch of the cop cars on the 407 are running camera systems. I am not sure if they are limited to check registration/stolen vehicles or whether they are tied into the 407 database to flag users who weren't captured on camera.

A better solution is to put your plate back in the factory location and get good at reaching your foot back behind to cover a bit of the plate as you get on/off.

Hahaha great first post
This :) lol.

also it seems if you enter or exit at speeds of 220+ you won't get caught, although I don't know first hand if this is true and wouldn't recommend trying it.... apparently, you can also ride the shoulder as close to the cement barrier on the right hand side and generally avoid getting caught either entering or exiting.

If you have a transponder registered to your plate, and the 407 camera only catches you entering or exiting but not both, they send you a bill based on the nearest exit/entrance from where your plate was captured...

so in my case, in theory, a ride that would cost me 8.50 only costs 30 cents... in theory.

My plate placement is fine, but I usually practice my yoga stretches while riding my bike (gotta keep flexible) so a part of my body might block the picture since the plate is mounted closer to the tail. :dontknow:

So, once a week now someone with no posts is going to ask for advice on how to beat the 401?

These cops must really be bored.
