Caledon Putting Gravel Down

Out of the blue last weekend, I noticed that Torbram Rd. and Bramalea Rd. north of Mayfield (where the Caledon line starts) these roads that were previously paved now have gravel down on them all the way up to Hwy 9 as I recall.

That's my area just S of there and where I ride to get up to Caledon and Orangeville.

So far they haven't touched Dixie as of last weekend anyway but that could also now be the same.

I'm not sure what the motivation is except to perhaps stop speeding.

I noticed it too, it's like they're trying to make all the roads into Brampton unrideable. Or they're preparing to repave those roads.

I work at Mayfield and 410, live in Bolton. Dixie from Mayfield to King is still good (as of a few days ago, haven't been up that way in a few) but despite the ongoing construction I'm finding best way out of town is just across Mayfield now.

I somehow doubt it's to repave as they'd have to take the old asphalt out and it looks like they just dumped the gravel right on top.

I hope you're right though but those roads were pretty good actually.
