Buying Tires online - Best places and issues getting them mounted?

I need to get some new tires for my bike.

I think I have it narrowed down to either:

Shinko 777
Pirelli MT66
Bridgestone S11 SPITFIRE

(still undecided though)

I need:
Front - 3.25-19 (Which I think is a 90/90-19)
Rear - 130/90 - 16

Ideally looking for a tire with a whitewall or big white lettering (S11)

So,

This brings me to my questions:

Any recommendations in the Burlington area for tires?
Are there any good CANADIAN on-line sellers for tires? (I don't want to have a hassle of cross border shipping)

If I were to buy tires on-line, will I have issues bringing them to a shop to have them installed? I heard that a lot of places won't even mount tires that were purchased elsewhere.

OR

Are bike tires something that I can un-mount and mount at home? I suspect that buying the tools to do this are going to cost me more than getting a shop to do it.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

D.

Petes Superbike (Montreal area) seems to be a popular tire supplier with the GTAMotorcyle crowd: http://www.petes-superbike.com/index.php
I usually shop Pete's, then call a couple local dealers to check their prices. Riders Choice in Mississauga has always matched Pete's tire price + shipping cost for me, so I just buy from them and have them do the tire install. I doubt Riders Choice would have the tires you're looking for in stock though, but they're only a phone call away. Bring your wheels in already off the bike and the tire change fee is about half the cost.

Take a photo shot of the wheels, a few weeks back paid good money for a shop install and they dinged the metal wheel, had no proof so just cancelled the remaining work.
I installed Michilin Commander ll, very satisfied with the ride and they have good reviews for rain traction.

I got 3 quotes before install, even though had bad luck they just need a deposit to bring in most type of tires.

petes.

I only deal with Pete's.... Although I did just have a talk with whom I think is the owner at dewilt in stoneycreek. And he said he would match and beat any price ?

Buy from Pete's Suberbikes (2 days and you should have them delivered) then call Adrian at AceMotoTech in Milton for the install.

Flying Squirrel price matches with Petes. Speedworx is actually slightly cheaper than Petes.

I couldn't believe it.

You can find many Youtube videos on how to mount/unmount tires and how to make a cheap bead beaker and a DIY balancer. I do it myself because I could never find a place that gave a **** about not marking up the rims or balancing properly.

For me, half the fun of bikes is learning to do stuff yourself.

yes, me too.

small investment to not have the hassle/expense of going to a shop, many people sell these:

a 2x4 and 4 x ball bearings from princess auto (seals and grease removed) and you have a surprisingly accurate wheel balancer (within a few grams).

Get a box of wheel weights on ebay, bought spoons on ebay for $20.

Bought from Pete's, arrived in a couple days. Took the wheels off the bike myself. Brought the wheels/rims (with old tires still on of course..) and the new tires to Kelly's in Hamilton (it is near work). Mounted that day, had them back by lunch, I am very happy with the service on all sides.

I can do the Shinkos in the wide white wall for $270, cash, taxes in, installed and balanced. Either the front or the back of both of the other tires you mentioned are on backorder right now. If I scratch your rims, I'll buy you brand new ones. I've been changing tires for 25 years, and have never scratched a rim.
