Buell repairs?

I am thinking about buying a newer Buell Lightning (2007 or 2008) and I was wondering where I could get it repaired. I am sure that a Harley dealer would do it but from what I've read on this site about Jacox and Toronto Harley (that went teats-up) I'm not too enthusiastic about going the dealership route.
Also it is my understanding that the parts availability is not great through a Harley dealer and that you are better off ordering from the U.S.
I'm not a big fan of egos or drama, I just want to be able to get the bike fixed if something goes wrong.

Well Harley owned Buell, so I would imagine they have the best option for parts. I personally would not buy a discontinued bike, unless you have some strong love for the Buell, why not look at something you wont have part issues, or a tough time finding service?

Jacox really screwed me around - refuse to go back. Have a big long thread about it in the reviews section.

Parts are harder to find - the XB series has Harley engines, so they can fix those no probs if you can find a HD dealer you trust. I've heard many good things about Kitchener Harley, even though they're not a Buell dealer.

Parts for everything else can leave you sitting for months at a time.

What kind/type of repairs?

Chiming in a bit late, but I've been happy with the service department at the Barrie HD dealer as well. My 1125R sat sitting for 6 weeks mid-summer last year (waiting on a stator from overseas), but once it came in they fixed it up right away. They have a couple service guys who ride Buells, and appreciate them. Unlike most Harley dealers that look down on us poor suckers with our extinct bikes.

Exactly ....I do most my own work now...but even then have asked them questions and they were more than happy to oblige their opinions. I find most parts on the web and find they come faster and cheaper than waiting for dealers...even Barrie.
