I left home around 5pm without checking the weather first to go for a ride around my usual route. I noticed the dark clouds but decided to keep going since I wanted to experience what it's like riding while it's wet outside.
I gotta say... it wasn't too much fun XD. Had to pull over to take out my phone/wallet out of my sidepockets and put em inside my jacket to keep em from getting wet. I also felt like the ground was very slippery on my boots. Scared me a few times cause I thought I was going to slip and drop the bike when putting my foot down during a red light:shock: . Completely soaked jeans and socks weren't much fun either lol, but nonetheless I've now experienced rainy weather riding. Check!

I rode through the whole thing...scary at times when I wasn't able to see pretty much anything in front of me. I noticed too the pavement being slippery under the boot at stop lights, so I took it easy in the corners.
I had my rain jacket on, but my pants were soaked. Not fun, but not so bad either...
The thing I found very annoying is water droplets getting inside my visor and me being unable to clear them. Closing the visor fully was not an option since it would've fog up quickly, making things worse.

Alex I noticed the same thing last night on my commute home.
I ride all weather unless there is the unholy trinity of heavy rain, high wind and cold. I got home last night having ridden cautiously but more or less enjoyed it. I only have one set of gear unfortunately, so to avoid getting a cold I rode squid (All my gear exposed to the wind in a cargo net on the pillion) , enjoyed that too, even though I usually ride all gear except over pants. All my gear is still wet this morning despite being hung to dry. Lucky for me I have two pairs of boots so my sopping ones could stay home today. Only a couple more days to go before I get my night riding in as well.

Get yourself Shoei pinlock insert - I was riding during nasty cold thunderstorm couple of weeks ago for about 4 hrs, not a single formation of fog, visor and vents were all shut closed. I never fitted one in non-shoei helmet but it should fit.
