Bike Warm up

The other day at work one of my coworkers gave me a small lecture how I can wreck my bike because I start it and just go with no warm up. I drive a 125r and usually just start my bike, put on my gloves, get on the bike and go. I don't typically drive fast for the first bit, I keep it under 5000rpm until the bike gets warm.

So anyways, my question is should I let my bike warm up and for how long? Do you members warm up your bikes?

Cheers

who is this coworker? They own an FI bike or any bike? Air/Fuel is automatic. In warm weather not necessary, perhaps a little in cold weather for the oil to warm and circulate. Probably not a good idea to redline and do rapid accelerations for the first 5 - 10 km.

Never really saw the need beyond a minute or so. . .
Start, full choke, 10 seconds.
Idle, half choke, 1 minute, gloves and bucket on.
No choke, ride gentle for first few minutes.
See ya.
