Best Roads/Routes From Manitoba to Ontario

#17 along Superior come to mind.

So does going through Michigans Upper Penninsula, UP , crossing from St. Ignace at the bridge to Mackinaw City & follow #23/#25 all along Huron and cross at Port Huron/Sarnia.

Thanks!

That stretch between Mackinaw City and Sarnia looks really nice. And #17 along the north shore of Superior is always beautiful.

I'm looking for another way to get from Winnipeg to Thunder Bay other than going along the #17 which is what I've done in the past. Has anyone taken the "M-O-M's way" highway?

If you want to stay on the Canadian side of the US border, there is only one road across the MB-ON border (edit upon more investigation: only one that doesn't dead-end on the other side!), and that kinda limits your options.

Between Kenora and Thunder Bay, there is a northern route (17) and a southern route (11/71) with some north/south connecting roads between them but that's the basic choice. I don't know what you mean by "M-O-M's way".

Thanks Brian. The options are definitely limited.

The MOM's way route takes you from Winnipeg to Thunder Bay via Minnesota. So they call it M-O-M. Manitoba-Ontario-Minnesota.
