So I want to put a camera on my bike, I have the older Gopro's available but I would like to purchase something better, something with better sound also

Here is the type of quality I am looking for

Any suggestions? Hopefully something I can pick up at a big box store or local bike shop?

I find my Contour gives me better image and sound than the GoPro

And added bonus, keeps on recording after a crash lol

Yes a few of my buddies have them, a little better but still not the greatest...Especially the sound quality because of the housing.....I really like good quality sound in track videos...Is there possibly an outboard mic for them?

And what is really better Gopro3 or Countour HD?

Not really for all I know she could be a monster under that suit, but I like the riding and the video quality...So if anyone knows this Renee maybe they can tell me what camera she uses...lol

She isn`t. If you have to obsess on an arse then it`s a good choice.

I have very little to do with the Moto Nation crew when I`m at `bogie but, as I mentioned earlier, they seem cool guys. Maybe shoot them an email.

I have a similiar Contour and really like it. The record button is awesome. The button is large and is real easy to turn on and off while riding. Great for winter skiing as well. Easy to use with motorcycle/ski gloves. I have mine mounted to the side of my helmet, which results in some shaky video's at times. Good but not great. The button allows me to turn it on and off as I'm entering and exiting the track and therefore I don't waste a lot of memory space filming in the pit. A 32GB memory card has enough space for 1080HD and a full track day. The only complaint I have is that the camera picks up a lot of wind noise. The desktop software that it runs off of is ok but not great.

Yammyr6 - what mounting bracket do you use on yours?

I have always thought the sound was okay on the GoPro2. This is an old video but is very close to what I was hearing thru my helmet. Do not watch the whole of the video. I get overtaken 3 turns from home and finish second.:(

I'm pretty sure she was using a GoPro hero 3 although I don't know which particular version.

Contour is out of business, so you can likely get them cheap, but they are out if business so no warranty or support.
I couldn't care less that Contour is out of business, these cameras are awesome and after a few crashes with the camera on board, they seem indestructible, no much need for the company support to be honest
