Anyone else notice they've gotten very light and cheap lately? Have they replaced the transducer in them with a circuit board or...? The new ones feel like something from China!

Its probably because they've eliminated the transformer. All solid state now. My background is in electronics, and personally I wouldnt be concerned.
 
What brand do most of you use?
I've had this tiny Deltran for a few years now...but lately NOCO seems to have caught my attention..
 
I found my answer in the reviews. Several other guys noticing the same thing. Some asking if it's a knock off as there's a Walmart brand that is an actual knock off. It looks like they've outsourced them to China and they aren't lasting very long. I'm glad I have three of the older units with an actual transducer in them. See the 1% comments.
