It is Fort York, but not for a food festival. They had a Simcoe day event with marching, firing of muskets and the canon. Is that last pic Fort York before one of the food festivals? Vegandale, maybe?
Believe it or not in Campbellford. I've been through there a few times, never knew until someone told me about it.Where is that suspension bridge?
Oh really I will have to check that out, thanks. Yeah the buttertarts were just ok in Warsaw. That butter tart place in Warsaw is excellent. Not as good as Betty's in Port Hope but a solid 2nd.

Look for "Ranney Gorge Suspension Bridge" it's over the Trent river near Ferris Provincial Park.
The best place for butter tarts is supposed to be in Maynooth!
Oh now I also have a future destination! The best place for butter tarts is supposed to be in Maynooth!
really?
there's an LCBO there
a gas station with a chip truck
a closed up Scotiabank that's for sale
and a brick building painted purple
looks like a dive bar
should be a place in hell for anyone that paints over brick
wonder which place sells the good butter tarts?
Oh now I also have a future destination!![]()
Nice will check that out, I have gone through Algonquin from Dorset over to Barry's Bay (to see the Avro model) I should do it the other way now. And they have apparently finished paving it nowWell, there is another reason to go to Maynooth, the road from there to Whitney is pretty good and then you’re at the east gate of Algonquin.

I like All Star Resort, near Madawaska. Relatively clean and quiet, great river for a swim or a paddle and it's right on the trail system if that's your thing.I often do a loop through Algonquin as a long day ride from Kingston. Camped in the park for a night a year or so ago. I fancy staying a bit longer (just another day or so) and riding some more northern roads. Aside from the provincial park campgrounds are there any other good ones near the east or west gate?
