Anywhere I can get insurance for just 1 or 2 months at a time?

I'm deciding whether to buy my first bike and ride for the next month or so. 23 years old, have M1, taking the safety this weekend, G with 5 or 6 years of experience, no tickets. TD quote is fine for the bikes I'm looking at, 125 and 250s, but only do a full year. I feel silly paying Jan through March when I'm probably not going to ride, especially to amortize that over only the 2 months of riding I might get in before then. So do any of the insurance companies do seasonal insurance? Thanks.

Seasonal insurance runs from march to october i believe. I dont think theres an insurance that offers 1-7 months. What you can do is pay now, then freeze it. Then unfreeze when you want to ride again. I think you can free for as long as 4-6 months tops.

Didn't know that was possible. Would it involve paying the whole fee upfront? Thanks for the tip.

Called TD and got a resolution. Would only pay $51 for the next few months based on their seasonal pricing, and then the 12 month quote would kick in during February. Thanks for the help Jimsun.

Glad you called. I'm with TD as well and got a bike last month - was only $49 to cover the remainder until March.
