Anyone try Bridgestone Battlax T30 yet?

I'm mainly interested in how they perform and wear in comparison to Michelin Pilot Road series. (I have the PR3 front but on the rear it's a crappy ContiMotion that I'd like to get rid off sooner than later)

I was going to purchase a PR-something rear but just went online and noticed that T30 are 20-30% cheaper vs Michelin.

Wow buddy tore the left side of that tire up in 4,800km with the centre still fine (right side looks like its got plenty of tread also). Manufacturer defect? Sport touring GT spec should be good for at least 10,000km.

BT023s are fantastic, I hope Bridgestone doesn't drop it from the line. I might have to buy another rear for reserve.

BT023 is a great tire, however Michelin's Pilot Road is the standard for sport touring.
(In the polls I ran here and on a VFR forum it took over 60% of the votes vs all other major manufacturers)
I was hoping this new Bridgestone would come close to it, considering the great price. If not I'll just go with PR4.

Why am I not surprised?

No love for the Roadsmart II?

I LOVED that tire...until I noticed cracks inside the tread with them being barely a year old. Ps: Front has 15,000kms rear has around 13-14000kms.

Roadsmart II came in 3rd place after PR3 and PR2 last year. I think Bridgestone was fourth.

These are scary cracks. Was the tire a year old or you mounted it a year ago?

I think it is about 2 years old by the date code, mounted last Jan started riding on it in March.
