Hello
I just sold my 03 GSXR 1000 and I might purchase another bike.I loved the Gixer but I need something I can ride all day.
I found a nice 08 Hayabusa for a reasonable price.I wanted to buy a BMW K1200 S but they are a bit out of my price range.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Bob.

Heli-bars will help it be a tourer. Also look at the Ninja 1000 (not referring to the zx-10).

Gen 2 has quite a few improvements over Gen 1. I've put about 11K on mine since April, I think they are great for longer rides. Can't count how many 10-12 hour days I've done this year on it.

I have an 09 gen 2 , i have put about 4500km on it so far. Longest day so far is 400km. i fit it well in standard set up I,m 5"9. I just ordered a new corbin seat for it to try out. i bought it to tour with my dad as I wasn't ready for a cruiser yet. low end is great, pulls away from lights at idle and has more than enough power to satisfy most, cheap to maintain just a pain in the arse to remove plastic for oil changes.

I ended up buying an 09 Hayabusa with 14 k on it.I drove it from Guelph home to Ajax today.
I think I am going to really enjoy this bike.

Welcome to the Hayabusa family.

I have only had the bike 1 day and I had 2 people comment on the bike when I was waiting at a red light ,and a guy on the 401 in a truck beeped his horn and give me the thumbs up.It seems everybody knows about the reputation of this bike.
I hope I can put some miles on it before the weather gets bad.I might try to find a gel or a Corbin seat for it.
I have bought 5 bikes in 4 years ,things never get boring that way.

Best seat on earth:

1999-2007 Busa: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Saddlemen-Te...Parts_Accessories&hash=item4d11387569&vxp=mtr
2008-2013 Busa: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Saddlemen-Ge...Parts_Accessories&hash=item20d5540af2&vxp=mtr

I didn't check if they had the best prices, they were just the first to come up. Tech seat features memory foam on the high pressure areas, gel for the rest. Absolutely WAY comfier than corbin or any regular gel seat!!!
