Anyone owns an SV1000/s

I bought one this season, an '05.
Clutch felt weird, shudder, meshing, vibes.
Had a new clutch basket put in, somewhat helped but still get some sort of meshing feel from the clutch in neutral with the clutch out.
Anyone has an SV1000 that they currently ride, for me to come in and compare mine to? Some say that V-Twins are supposed to be that way. I can pretty much travel anywhere across the GTA.

Thanks All!

I checked the plates while swapping the clutch basket, they seemed fine.
Not sure what the other owner was using, but I just put in Rotella in it.

Looked fine, no metal shavings, was in one piece and seemed straight.
That's why I am wondering if its normal and trying to see of another member can have me check their bike out and compare.

Only thing I could recommend is making sure the plates were in the right orientation. The past owner might have changed the clutch plates and mixed that up. Not sure if this matters on that clutch design.

Maybe wrong springs?

They plates seems ok, I think if they were damaged/reversed the clutch would feel like crap while in operation, it only sounds and feels funky in neutral.

Thanks for the input!

1. check the plates
2. Make sure the previous owner did not use automotive synthetic oil.

I used synthetic oil for cars in my SV650s (two different bikes, 2001 and 2002 models) for several years.
One billion kilomtres later and a few track days, and the clutch was just fine in both. I sold each bike to a new owner, should he worry about the oil I was using?????

There is a big difference between automotive synthetic and motorcycle synthetic. Some car oils have slip additives that will cause clutch plate slip. Cars don't share the transmission oils with the engine like bikes. In older bikes, even synthetics are an issue, which is why restorers use either organic oil or semi-synth.
