Anyone in their late 20's insuring 1000 class bikes these days?

I’m 25 and don’t pay more than 1700 through a legitimate big company. With real customer service and accountability. NOT echelon or any of those other companies well known alleged motorcycle insurance specialists will offer you for 3 4 or 5k. Make calls
i saw Echelon had bad reviews when i signed up, they took care of my FZ09 write off and overpaid me. Monthly payment was cheapo too.

Zero complaints.

People write reviews for police station.

Our family insured through economical insurance company, reviews were bad but when we need to make a claim it was easy and they overpaid for the vehicle.

It seems like its becoming more of a reality to pick up a 900-1000 sport touring/naked sport! I called around my usual yearly contacts for renewal quotes and my 600 rates have dropped a lot, for no apparent reason (quotes with current ticket also way down, tickets is off record the day before renewal which is nice).

Am only looking at around $50/month for my FZ6 which I am very happy about. I am also losing a ticket off my record, but even with the ticket the renewal was only a few dollars more, I was curious the difference. And as stated in the title I am still in my 20's.

Fz09 and fz10 were always really cheap options when I was quoting back in the day.

Just for fun I got a quote on a fresh and new 2021 MT09 at the same time. Full coverage obviously. Unfortunately it's $195 a month. I would love to be under $150 at the most but really even that is a bit scary considering our season o_O . Was kinda hoping it would be cheaper because I do like both those bikes when I've ridden them. Only been on a MT10 once but a 09 many times.

Likely what I will be doing is picking up an "older" bigger bike, and not have to carry full beans coverage on it. That of course helps the rate a lot. The 09 quote was out of curiosity.

$195 is rather high, but you said tickets? With a clean record I could insure for just over $100

Talking about tickets, I have one minor ticket 15 over and when I got the policy on the fz8 through riders plus/echelon they told me that it wouldn't affect my premium and it didn't. It was the same as online quote without the ticket declared at 79/mo basic coverage or 103/mo full coverage.

Car insurance was another story, they hit me with an 18% premium increase "until it falls off my record" next August. I'll believe that when I see it though...

My car rate went up more than the bike for the three years it was on the record. Was also a minor speeding.
