Have you ridden Parham to Mountain Grove and then loop around Big Clear Lake?
 
I have done that loop many times, at least as I understand where you are referencing. I love that road. Often do Long Lake Rd. to Mountain Grove Road, cross 7 and up north through Henderson/Harlowe/Fernleigh to Plevna. And from there, well... whatever. :)
 
Construction seems to be everywhere right now. Stay clear the road from Arden to Tamworth for a while, they just spread 3 miles of marbles on it in preparation for resurfacing. Near Puzzle lake you have to follow a bulldozer track for a little ways, then same with county road #4 south of Tamworth :/ yesterday on the MV, I had to follow a water spray truck that was following a dump truck spreading 4 inches of crushed limestone, that was joyous.
