I saw a Ruckus scooter at Timmies the other day and got talking to the rider. It's his company vehicle. He rides around dropping insecticide pellets into catch basins to control mosquitoes / West Nile.

Outside of traffic cops does anyone else have a M/C / scooter as a work vehicle?

I get reimbursed for 10L / 100kms and 407 tolls, even if they don't show on my bill lol
I'm not just saving, but also making extra $$ everytime I ride to work.

In Europe, every single pizza is delivered by scooter, and in London, couriers or despatch riders are all on bikes, because there is no other way through all that traffic.

I write off the bikes against my taxes as a business expense, so I guess they are company vehicles.

I once rode to Vancouver for business meetings and expensed it. Not sure if that counts.

Even with the mileage, motels and meals, it was cheaper than a plane ticket, so everyone was happy.

I'm guessing that wasn't Toronto-Vancouver-Toronto. That'd be roughly $600 in (regular) gas at 5 liters/100km.

I took one of these in London..motorcycle taxi. They give you a paper helmet liner. The only way through traffic there.

It would have been an open jaw plane ticket, had meetings in Calgary and Edmonton, so I worked out the airfare on three full-fare flight segments, booked less than 7 days in advance. It was a long time ago, but I think the plane ticket came out to about $2000 all in.

Vaguely remember someone on this site advertising a job for the above gig a while back.

I'm presently taking proposals and am somewhat flexible. Cash is good.

not sure if I am thinking of the same as you, but i tyhought it was somebody soliting for people to ride scooters for some sort of advetising/marketing gig?

I think they were also only looking for lady riders? Maybe a search will find details?

I get to park for free at my workplace when it's usually $90 a month plus a ridiculous wait to get a parking pass.....that's more or less being paid...ish.

A few years back I used to do telecom/networking. I scored a nice gig for a lot of timmies up north. Hardware was delivered to local post offices. I had a box of cat5 on the back of my bike and tools. Good money and free timmies food :). On top of it I got the standard van rate and hotel, but I camped most of the time. Good times.

for a sec there I thought all the Rossi-s here are gonna say something...

Ride to work :/

However .75L vs 3.5L. I'm pretty much saving 3/4 of a tank of fuel a month which is about $70ish ea month in the spring/summer/early fall. In the end i'm about $50 ahead of the game a month (bikes is $20/m)

Friend of a friend, worked for a government agency back in the late 90's. His job was to put mileage on new model motorcycles. He had a fleet at his disposal and would have to rack up kilometers on them. He got paid by the km. Guess they were testing them for standards?

He offered to get me in, but he ended up breaking up with the girl I knew and never saw him again. Would have been sweet... oh well.

A friend of mine has a bike as one of a few company vehicles. They have mileage logs. One that is official. One for tax purposes.

I can ride for work and some time do. Technically in getting paid. Lol.

My family has two stores...sometimes I get to ride my bike back and forth to pick up or drop **** off. Sometimes I ride to lab myself to get rush orders or special jobs that need to be done quick. I guess if I wasn't riding the bike I'd get a nice Benz to drive but I'd still rather be riding either way.

I know a guy who rides tester bikes as a carreer (to review them). Damn nice job.

Otherwise when I can ride for work I do I just dont overly like showing up to quote jobs on a bike. It can be intimidating for some. Especially since im on a black cruiser.
