Anyone cut their own clip on tubes?

Just curious to know if anyone buys 7/8" or 22mm tubing and cuts their own tubes to a desired length? My son needs a little longer than the standard 12" tubes and I was wondering where people buy the material from?
Cheers.

I know Woodcraft makes 13.5" ones. What I could probably get away with is an actual 12" tube. But all the 12" ones include the plastic knobs on the ends in their measurements. This makes the actual tube under 11" long.
I'm going to call Hindle on Monday to see if they keep the longer ones in stock.
I would still prefer to be able to cut them to a desired length.

I might have a couple spares of the longer size, will check the trailer tomorrow.

any metal warehouse will have 7/8 solid bar. cheap, easy, however being solid it does add some mass, and sometimes in a crash they dont bend and cause other stuff to break.. but sometimes they actually help in a crash soooooo,

I'm in Brantford. We have Hunter Steel for that sort of thing.

I wanted longer bars on my Katana to accommodate accessories, so I found a chrome straight bar from some off-road bike that was about 2.5' and cut them down to 2 custom lengths.

Here's an example of what Metal Supermarkets has in 6061 tube. You can filter on wall thickness if you have a specific preference:
