Any suggestions where to practice leaning?

Thank god for faceless activity specific forums. You wouldn't want to saunter into a biker gathering "excuse me mate where can I practise leans within the greater Toronto area?" You just wouldn't, or at least not with anything gasoline powered.

Would be worse if you were to ask if you should "greyside", by putting a rear tire on the front. :p
And no, greyside isn't the official term, as far as I know.

Damnit, I'd realized the potential for a darksider joke in that thread but hadn't written it yet. Now I won't get any points for it

Hmmm...I thought greyside was when you go riding with Inreb. That may be grayside, though.

You don't practice 'leaning'...you practice taking corners faster. The faster you go, the more you need to lean/shift your weight on the bike. The reason MotoGP riders get a knee or elbow down isn't because they want to...it's because they have to for the speeds they are going.

If you really want to practice taking corners are a high rate of speed...do like the others have said and take it to the track.

Hi everyone,

I ride a Ninja 250 and I just wanted to know if anyone can suggest me any places where I can practice my leans? Whether it be on the street with nice turns or even parking lots. I currently live in etobicoke, if anyone knows any places in etobicoke/Mississauga that would be even better! But I am open to anywhere else within the GTA. Thanks everyone. P.S Any tips on how to get a clean lean and what not would be great as well!

Regards,
Track day on thursday in Hamilton at TMP/Cayuga if you wanna give it a go. Let me know asap.

That guy is about to high-side. Once those front wheels come down...POW! Right in the kisser!

Really wish we had a legitimate gymkhana setup in Toronto. That would totally rock and we could really sharpen those skills. It's kind of amusing that in our SAFETY FIRST society, practising is all but illegal.

You CAN practice, but do it on your own property, and not on a property that someone else is liable for just because they own it and pay the insurance premiums.
