Any Canadain/American Vendors Selling These?

I checked the price, it's $359.00 EUR, it's $491 CDN for a bike stand, would you buy one even if its available in Canada?

Agree...$500 is a lot for a stand, but considering your investment, it is kind of worth it.. Perfect for single garages to prevent that "creative" parking. They're going to make a lot of money on these. If no one in NA is selling, I'll wait 'till this time next year as the other stand manufactureres copy this design and the competition begins. It's a perfect design.

That video was posted in 2009 and has been posted here before. If nobody has copied the design by now, I wouldn't expect it to be copied by next year.

I wonder if it has a brake system lawl. *Watches as bike and stand slide down a hill*

I am thinking it will make more sense for motorcycle shop to own one of those, but again, the bike stand is not universal fit, you have to buy adapters separately for different bike, not worth the money... I guess that's why no one wants to copy it. lol

Yes, the stand has wheel brake, if you roll video to 1:36, you will see it

North American vendors should be all over this. Video #2 shows a couple of hundred different bikes on the stands, so they are selling in Europe:

You'd pay $150 (or more) for a set of pitbull stands. If they could get this price down to $300 NA, they'd make a killing. Hard to believe these aren't in every motorcycle shop.

The average home wrencher is not going to pay $500 for a lift when a pair of stands can be bought for $100.

What would you be willing to pay for this lift/stand? State your price :-)

$300, interested in making one :P

Interesting but I don't see a large market for this in here. Most people simply don't need it. And just because the manufacturer took a few pics with different bikes (most of them in the same location so probably buddies), doesn't mean they're selling thousands of these.
For an average person that lubes their chain and not much else, this is an overkill. I'm also wondering how stable that thing is when you start torquing things or applying serious pressure from one side.

These are excellent build quality but too expensive for the average biker. Motomfg does a similar one but it was designed with Ducatis in mine...I have seen anecdotal posts about the plates being a bit testy on other makes as well as balancing being quite sensitive to adjustment. I am leaning towards ABBA stands due to their simplicity (I think simple solutions are more elegant) but more so because you don't have to remove the engine mount bolt and permanently attach a bushing to the bike. I will say for fairness, I have found no reports of this causing any problems whatsoever and am sure Bursig would not be so successful among high price bike owners if this was the case. This is just my personal idiosyncratic preference - I like my bolts the way the manufacturer intended them to be. More substantially, the ABBA stands will run $ 100 to 150 less (I'm including the wheeled dolly option).
It also depends on your specific needs...do you want just the tires of the ground or do you want the suspension unsprung? Do you just want to be able to wheel it around in any direction but don't need it upright or raised? There are as many solutions as there are specific requirements.

I prefer my bike straight up and down for even distribution of fluid and because it occupies less space in my garage like this. I prefer it suspended with suspension unsprung for longer term storage and for the ground clearance which makes it easier to tinker with. I do NOT trust the side-stand alone when there is a the possibility of others being around the bike when I'm not around...the wrong nudge or inexperienced repositioning or god-forbid, some sitting on it and flipping up the stand inadvertently...and she'll go down.

So that leaves only ABBA for me (it has some knock-offs state-side, I think Redline makes one similar now that is somewhat universal).

Ok, you all owe me two cents for my ramble.

Motomfg.com

They are just across the border (15-20min) from Niagara Falls or Fort Erie.
