Any 600cc with quick shifter?

Does any 600cc category bike have quick shifter? Originally I wanted to buy a S1000RR, for its electronic convenience features. But since I've been told there's a lot of heat I quickly changed my mind. I will be using it as my main transport, so it needs to be not harsh. The R1 was my next choice but still the heat issue concerns (if anyone experienced?). So I have quickly narrowed my choices to just 600cc. cruise control, abs, quick shifter, TC, power modes all useful features for street biking.

You can add a quickshifter onto almost any bike for around $300-400. Just find the bike you want and buy the quickshifter for it, AFAIK it's a fairly easy install but don't quote me on that because I have never tried it.

Easy to install...hard to dial in properly.

Saying it's not useful for street riding isn't true. It reduces stress on your hand on longer rides. But that is the only real benefit.

How hard/far are people riding on the streets? The longest day I have done was 2300 km in 24 hours and never felt that a quick shifter would have made me more comfortable. How often are people doing full-throttle upshifts on the street?

If you're doing enough full throttle upshifting during street riding to cause clutch hand distress...

I added one (DQS) to my Fazer when I put the PC-V on. You can set up the engine-cut time (mine's at 80mS I believe) and can set a minimum RPM below which the QS/PC-V will not cut the fuel to the engine. I'd have to verify but I believe you can specify different engine cut times for different gears if you've got the speed sensor wired into the PC-V.

I love this thing. Best mod I've done to the bike. No, you don't need to be at WOT to use it.

I agree with veteq, i have had 3bikes with the qs and i must say once you get use to it it's not easy going back with regular shifting.;)

I have one on my bike and love it some word reason I think my bike pulls harder maybe it's the quick shifts ?

I love my stock quick shift on the triumph 675r. Smooth and reliable. Shifting without it seams like too much work.

I don't understand. Only difference is without QS the throttle must be released for a split second. On the track QS saves a few tenths a lap. How is not having to move the throttle a little that much easier.

You don't need to clutch in to shift. If you're talking about the difference between doing a clutch-less shift and a quick shift there's not much of a difference, just less to think about while shifting.
