Absolutely awesome roads down here! The gap sucks in comparison in so many ways.We stayed in Warren and did a few trips in and around the area.I'll post some pics when we are back.We are doing Gettysburg today and then up northeast to Vermont. :)

Yeah PA rocks - just got a taste of the Catskills and heading to Lake Placid on the long weekend for more fun.

I'd like to do more PA further south and both East and West. Go see Falling Water.

Vermont highway 17 was fun:

And highway 4 and 9 look like they could be a good time too:

Hey Ric, I've been looking at allegheny forest with a two day trip in mind for next week. Which roads did you like? Ive tried to look up 666 on youtube amd it looked ok - what am i missing? I too, will be staying in Warren unless I choose to camp one night in the forest park.

Thanks,

Go to the Docksider restaurant outside of Warren and ask them to show you the route around the reservoir. Also, don't miss the Kinzau bridge. We are going into the Green Mtns in the morn.getting tired.

don't know if you are staying in the area but might see you as the weather east sucks so we are going to Watertown and then deciding tomorrow.

You must do 144 south of Renovo ( as well as north ) and Wykoff Run which comes off it between 144 S of Renovo and 120.

Some other okay roads in the area and yes do Kinzau and perhaps Grand Canyon of the East.

Nice Pic! Looking west, down the mountain on #17.

Your right, 4 and 9 are good. When your'e done 9 try heading south on # 7 to 23 west into Windham (Catskill Park).
There's a nice resort there (The Thompson House). The owner was a Ducati man.

It's really nice in the Allegheny's, but saying it rivals TN is just lying to yourself.

Now West Virgina on the other hand.......

Allegheny is nice and very close for a 2 day trip. As far as a rival to TN - You need to check out more roads.
Just got back from 9 days zig zaging through WV - V - All the mountains to Ashville - Georgia - TN - Carolina.
Just to many roads to ride. We didn't do any straight roads or Hwy after the 1st half day. Only wish I had another
5 or 6 days to get it all in.
