I think that every motorcycle from now on should have train horns as stock... too bad they require compressed air tanks.

Definitely would make drivers more aware of motorcycles, I think! :happy8:

I think hes the one who cuts off and mergers into other lanes haha

This is honestly going on my next bike. I had a lady merge into me and even the horn on my car didn't dissuade her until her daughter (passenger window) started freaking out.

Train horn should cut right through anyone's stereo

Lol I'm usually passing everyone so, never had to deal with being cut off or run off the road. If other cases riding downtown I leave enough room in front for the cars to merge.

You've never been cut off or merged into?
Been in those situations once or twice but I forgot where my horn was... + its not loud enough with the exhaust.

Again, I believe loud exhaust save lives.

Well played!

I almost never use my horn. If I have to rely on the other person reacting to my horn to save my hide, I'm doing something wrong. When on my bike it is FAR more reliable to grab a handful of brake or throttle and get out of the way than to honk at some idiot. And honking so louldy that you scare teh crap out of the other driver may have unforseen consequences, and regardless of that, they certainly are not going to sheepishly realize their mistake and be apologetic.

Best to just get the hell away from them.

I'd rather take my chances all day with deaf, who overscan their mirrors/blind spots, than those who think they can see/hear.

I couldn't agree more. I never ride in someones blind spot. I'm either well behind them or get by them quickly.

Wrong. I work with a fellow who is deaf and he drives to work.

Try a Stebel air horn. Just installed one on my ST and that is one LOUD HORN.

I've got 2 dual tone horns, sounds like a Ferrari :p

Can't remember when a horn has ever stopped someone from coming over into my lane, they don't react at all. Now kicking the side of their door really gets a reaction, but not in a positive way unfortunately.
