AGV helmet recall

The recall involves the AGV Tourmodular Helmet, a full-faced motorcycle helmet equipped with a chin bar that has the ability to “flip-up.” The chin guard plate may break over time, allowing the helmet to not be properly secured on the user’s head during an accident.

For more information, contact Dainese S.p.A by completing the form on the company’s website , by telephone at 1-949-625-0412, 8:00 am PST – 4:00 pm PST or by email at consumer.tourmodular@dainese.com

Thanks. I'll check mine and send them my info.

Has anyone else here been dealing with this?
I got an answer from AGV quite a while ago, requesting lots of info. I gave them all they asked for (receipt, photos, bar code, etc.). They took a while and then said my helmet is one of the affected ones, and I should contact my dealer for the next step. I did contact GP Bikes, and they knew nothing of the recall or how to proceed. I copied their reply to AGV(Dainese) and got the same response. So they're passing this back and forth and no one wants to take any action. I guess my next step is to contact the government to perhaps pressure them to comply with the directive.

Same here. They wanted a copy of the receipt and another pic of the serial number. Lawyers, ugh! I'm wearing it till i get another Arai. It's better than a beanie.

I've been wearing mine too. I sent them another email. Told them I want a refund.

Got a quick positive response from GP Bikes. They still know nothing; haven't been advised by Dainese re. how to deal with this. They assure me that they will look into it further.

Got another email from dainese asking for invoice and pic of serial number. GP sent me the invoice. Dainese has everything now. I doubt this will be a full refund.

If this helmet is unsafe, I'll be really ******.I have an expensive Insyde cardo unit in it that won't fit in any other helmet.

I was close to buying one of those too. Call GP and tell them you want your money back, Squeaky wheel gets the grease.

If i get a refund, I'll put the cardo unit into a new AGV K7. It fits in that model too.

Maybe a K7 will be a reasonable replacement? I haven't seen one yet. I have a K6.

Got a reply from dainese this morning. Road trip to GP. No mention of how much.

Thank you for your reply and photos that you sent us.

We confirm that your helmet is part of the Tourmodular 2025 Recall Campaign. In order to receive all necessary assistance on this matter, we kindly invite you to please contact the store or dealer where you purchased your helmet from (GP Bikes).

We remain at your disposal for further information.

Kind regards,

Andrea

I got a similar reply over a month ago. As of yesterday, GP has no remedy, nor direction from Dainese. They assure me they are looking into it.

Y'all might hate me for this... but if you crash at just the wrong angle, a modular is about as useful as an open face helmet.

Be a ******* man and ride in a beanie helmet like me.

And be a ******* wuss and ride in a full face like me.

Remember what Confucius say: "He who sit on fence, get post up ass" So stop half-ass-ing life. Pick a side and go full ass! ha
