Advanced technology.....

There is plenty of rebellion against automated enforcement in the USA already. The problem there has mostly been with red-light cameras ... which are put up for "$afety" and then the greedy municipality reduces the yellow-light duration to the minimum (or sometimes less, until they get busted) in order to collect more ticket revenue. Speed cameras have similar opposition, largely due to under-posted speed limits ...

U think? I guess you are right but it is still much easier to obscure plate on the bike

If it goes the way of the UK the cameras will log your route and a nice man in a car with lights on the top will be waiting for you somewhere.

There is a sensible way to use these cameras as traffic calming/behaviour correction devices. Unfortunately...the line between sensible and harsh is pretty fine.

people hate big brother tech, until the same said people had their daughters missing/abducted/kidnapped.

That's what we have police for...oh wait, right, they're too busy handing out tickets to catch rapists, so we need to put everyone under surveillance so they won't rape or speed.

If someone is really that afraid, buy a dog and a gun. The rest of us shouldn't be subject to the fears of a cowardly minority and lazy, corrupt police unions. It's that kind of fear that makes people vote for police states and for making lists of people to officially harass, isolate as undesirables, blame for social ills and then eventually just round up for prisons.

Just ask a biker.

I hate big brother tech regardless. I'm not stupid enough to believe that all this technology will curb crime, it'll only catch the stupid criminals. What you'll be left with is more powerful and smarter criminals that are making more money.

they can send out 1 million cops to look for a kid but if they dont know where to look, it's like needle in a haystack. but with proper tech, 1 cop can find said kid.

1 cop with $100m+ of technology infrastructure.

Anyway, this is barely about motorcycles anymore, but SkyRider, you may have been trained to never back down, but some of us have just been raised that way.

In the interest of averting an epic flame war, I'll let you be the better man and allow you concede gracefully here.

;)

meh, someone will just come out with tech to defeat it...as for not being able to detect it, apparently they haven't tried war driving...
