Accident at yonge/Gerrard st

I represent myself when I ride, others don't represent me. I'm not targeted by drivers who have a vendetta against motorcyclists.

Awesome photo, thanks for posting :)

I wish we could see more pics. I can't hurl judgement on the riders without more evidence

If they are really going 120km/hr, I don't think the bike will look like that from the photos. Besides, if its anywhere close to what its being claimed to have happened, news reporters would of been all over it like bees on honey ... Especially with the motorcycle death just 2 weeks ago

I wasn't there but based on the photos of the green bike on the road which looks pretty much in tact and no injury from one of the guy, and most importantly, not on the news ...I thinks it is just a minor collision and the two bikers may not have been speeding at all.

Also, one other point. If they were racing and with ample witness on Yonge street, the biker who standing next to the injured fellow who probably been handcuffed and sitting in a cruiser instead of standing around next to his friend.

Wait so...cager was at fault? =D

According to the news link picture, look how the SUV is positioned. Almost like he/she is making a U-turn and decided to cut the riders off.
Although, speed could be a factor, but then again a quick U-turn can also lead to the crashes.

Police say that two motorcyclists were thrown off their bikes after a vehicle appears to have moved into the lane they were occupying on Yonge Street, near Elm Street, at around 8 p.m.
There you have it folks....our image from the public is somewhat salvaged

120km on Yonge? That's an exaggeration. Were you judging by the sound of the bikes? or you actually saw them zipping by fast? The lights at Dundas and the set at Gould are set so that they are not straight through greens... that means they would have to start at Gould from 0km. From Gould to Zanzibar is about 60meters. I don't care what bike you have, there's no way they were going 120. A 120km collision it would've looked like a bomb went off and millions of plastics all over the place.

Look at the way the front wheels of the Mazda, I am speculating the Mazda made a U-turn, clipped the first green bike at the tail and sent it flying to the opposite lanes. 2nd green riding staggered had to slam on the brakes to avoid full impact into the car, and rider jumped off.

GWS rider(s). I was northbound around 9pm and had to detour south for they closed off the strip all the way down to Dundas.

Initial reports are saying it is the vehicle that went in their lane.
At 8pm, I highly doubt the roads are so clear that you are going to be going down at 120km/h esp. on Yonge.
May have sounded fast, but I don't see how someone can claim they were going 120km/h. Did you have a radar and happen to be measuring the speed?

Have some compassion. A rider got hurt. Instead of calling them idiots (which based on news report, it's debatable), wish the rider GWS.

This might be a stretch, but im starting to think that the OP was the driver of the suv and thats how he got the pictures lol

It would make sense why he would exaggerate the speed of the motorcycles and come to the conclusion that they were 100% at fault :D

Just happened now. Totally 100% 2 riders fault. Going 120km/h along yonge and collides into an suv

Did you witness the whole incident or something?

Unless you're pacing the bikes going 120km/h or have a radar gun tracking their speed, I highly doubt they're going those speeds...

Anyone familiar with downtown T.O. would be skeptical of a 120 km/he report. Maybe between 2 am and 430 am on a Sunday. Otherwise, too much traffic to allow it to happen.Stupid cages. Get a real SUV...like a V-Strom/Tiger or GSAdventure.
