Normally we overlap with the VRRA weekend. Not this time! I'll be there again.
 
Being a devil's advocate, what if the C-19 beast hasn't been slain?

However if a cause is worth supporting do we need to be rewarded with a ride and entertainment to motivate us?
 
Let it be known, Ride for Sight 2020 WILL happen! In the coming days it will be decided if they will stay with the original June 12-14 date or if the event will be rescheduled for later in the summer but as I said, it WILL happen. Stay tuned to the website rideforsight.com of follow them on Facebook Ride for Sight Central Ontario or keep an eye on this post for all the latest info!
 
What if the province still dictates that the public gathering size limits still prohibit these sizes of gatherings, however?

I think that rallies and these sorts of large organized rides are going to be a big challenge this year.

Late summer does seem optimistic to me as well. I have no problem if organizers hold out hope though. There are at least a few festivals that postponed and then gave up as even a date in early fall was too questionable to guarantee it could run but at this point, if you can afford to wait, I don't see much harm.

I haven't done ride for sight so I don't know what else the event entails. I could see it being altered for this year to ## groups of five (or whatever the allowed number is at the time). All start from different locations at the same time with RFS flags and if groups happen upon each other during the ride, whoops?

I have seen all kinds at Ride for Sight over the years! As we say, what happens at Ride STAYS at Ride! However I do know these two. One is a buddy and the other is a buddy's son-in-law.

Yes, the Ride for Sight 2020 is still on! The date has been moved to September 18-20 in beautiful Fenelon Falls. Check the site for all the details. There should be an official post here soon.

Ride for Sight raises much needed funds for vision research on behalf of Fighting Blindness Canada. Ride for Sight has raised over $26 million to date.

The best/easiest way to fundraise is to set up your online fundraising account on rideforsight.com Once you are set up you can choose to join a team. Team GTAM would love to have you join us! Your fundraising counts towards both. Any prizing related to your fundraising ie: different fundraising levels and early bird prizes etc go to you but your total also gets added to the teams total for the team fundraising challenge!

There are some early bird prizes being given away. If you raise the $75 minimum online before mid June you will be entered to win either a Bulova Harley Davidson watch (worth over $200), a Ride for Sight swag pack or gift cards to Amazon.ca or Royal Distributing!

If you raise $25 online before June 8 you can submit a short video of yourself for the Ride for Sight's "Virtual Parade" video. They are going to edit the video together to make a parade video to release online since we can't have the traditional parade.
