3 Year old and a Gator

So my lovely husband went ahead and purchased my daughter a John Deere Gator for her 3rd birthday because it was a "smokin' deal". I'm thrilled.

So anyway, I want to make sure she has the right protective gear. Other than a helmet, is there any special gear for children that can help prevent serious injury? I'm not against duck taping her body completely in bubble wrap if I have to. Thanks.

The child is three, so I am guessing it is a small plastic battery operated toy that they can ride in.

If that is the case, my buddy has a 3 year old with the exact product. He loves the thing. It is a Power Wheels for god sakes. OP, If you think this is bad, wait until he comes home with a motorcycle.

if it's this thing:

Sweeeeet!! :D

If you like it so much I'll buy you one and trade you the duc for it :lmao:

Op my best friends kid had one of these at 3 and never once had anything go wrong. We live in the sticks and he would try jumping things with it around the farm and everything without issue. I don't recommend air in one though lol

They only do about 5mph, which is a bit faster then walking speed.
My daughter has been driving her power wheels escalade since she was 2.

^^ my best friend has something wrong with him. I didn't pay attention but he did something with batteries and changed motors to his kids power wheels and the thing flew after. It could haul his 180lbs up and down the drive way. Now the kid figured out how to do half donuts and plastic burnouts in the driveway :lmao:

My kids had the 18 volt Porsche and it would do wheelies with me in it dragging the rear bumper lol

kids gotta be kids. you can't treat them like fine china, they gotta be able to fall down and get hurt.. a bicycle helmet would be recommended though. I deal with the product of parents bubble wrapping their kids at work, means that when they're in college mommy and daddy gotta do everything for them, including calling tech support for a 20 year old in college.

Just think, if you cripple her by bubble wrapping her, what's going to happen when you are old and she has to take care of you....

bubble wrap is great. i can drop my kid all day long and he's fine.

LOL! This thread needs more gear fiends famous on GTAM. ATGATT. I wouldn't trust a bicycle helmet. Please consider a full-face. Probably should source a full leather onesy as well.

Do you know if your child is actually interested in driving it, or just posing at various local playgrounds?

calling tech support for a 20 year old in college

Huh? What?! My parents would rather call me, get me to drive to their place, and have me call tech support for them, than talk to tech support themselves.
