2023 Northern Roads - Sand and surface conditions

I did 141 and 518 Apr 14 & 16, they were both clean -- made for a good romp.

Some roads were great, others were sandy or still had a fair bit of junk on the roads.
Southwood Rd 13 - north section is very sandy - middle is really clean
Mortimers Point Rd - pretty messy and bumpy
Stisted Rd - pretty sandy, but Ravenscliffe just south of that was really nice.
Peninsula Rd / 632 - surprisingly bumpy on Peninsula Rd and messy in the corners of 632

518 - good shape except for a few corners here and there
Swords Rd - flawless
141 - some gravel/construction just east of Rosseau for a few km, but otherwise flawless
Aspdin Rd 3 - great shape
Brackenrig - flawless

That's not a pothole you want to find when it's dark.
Lower Faraday is pretty much a dirt road right now. I'd avoid it. There's pavement under there somewhere but it's been sanded to death over the winter so will take a while to be clean.

When is one of the gtam ballers going to buy a jet blower to clean up the roads?

511 and Tatlock road in the Lanark Highlands are perfect. No sand, great road surfaces. Not that northern but north of Highway 7 at least.
