dirt bars and lower foot pegs on my 05 zx10 turned it into an all day tourer...
i used to own a z1000.iloved the bike but it was a heavy pig compared to a sportbike ,the power fell on its face in the upper rpm range and i have always preferedd the look of full fairings.i think its absolutely hilarious when i red on here that big motor nakeds are sportbikes for street, really ?.not even close..the manufactures just push them as hooligan bikes to sell them and people buy that line 24/7,,,,but hey, they are comfy

That's my thing also. I am doing a project bike with a GSXR 750 turning it into a semi naked bike. I have track plastics on it with cut outs for lights, so I can easily turn bike into ss look or have it ready for track day.
I want the sport bike characteristics. Just adding Apex 3 inch adjustable clip ons and some rear sets...make it as comfortable for long rides too.

There was an article on some British site, they kept trying to make a Fz1 handle like an R1 until they realized they were doing it backwards and took an R1 and mode it more comfy like the Fz1 (clipons, seat gel, rearsets). They ended up with a very light super sport bike that was very comfortable to ride.
