Dunno, it looks really plasticy to me in the first pic. Will have to see it in the flesh before I draw any judgement, as I thought the outgoing 1000 was a great looking bike.
I don't see any TC sensor rings or they're just not visible from the pics. I sure hope they don't **** the bed with this and release a competitive bike.

You mean ABS?
They probably are used for both but the current bikes with TC use the sensor rings on each wheel for wheel speed.
Reluctor rings is the common industry term. They're used to provide wheel speed input for various system including, but not limited to, ABS and Traction
