Good luck for the season. I'll be at Mosport big track and every Calabogie weekend in spirit. Maybe you could video Sandys riders meeting speech and make up a DVD for me? So I don't miss it too much?

I'll have to settle for Silverstone, Mallory Park, Oulton Park and Cadwell (if I can grow a pair in time) this season.

Unfortunately, yes. With the decline in racing, the CRCA is having a hard time recruiting marshals and thus, we are having a hard time staffing our events. Running a day without them is not something that we feel comfortable doing. I figure I can get enough for a nelson day, but finding 8 marshals for a long track event has been very challenging.

Any thought non incentives for marshaling? Not necessarily money but free track time or heavily discounted?

I think when I did in in 2009 i got 40 bucks for each track day, i did it mostly to learn and get into track riding, most people won't have an incentive if it is only that kind of money

Looks great indeed, I'm really looking forward to doing Mosport (Long & DDT) and Calabogie this year.

Well we already pay the marshals a salary for the day, and it's minimum wage..It's not a volunteer basis when it comes to trackdays.

A lot of organizing goes into the day on our end as is, and if I have to get into individually recruiting/hiring marshal rather than hiring a marshaling organization to do that for us, it is just too complicated. I'm trying to come up with a good metaphor but it's not coming to me.

Looks good. But whats up with August 13th? Mosport big track only 2 groups but that same total number of riders? If someone is a green rider they have to sign up for yellow??

No love for Brands Hatch?

That's rough. Good luck settling on those. ;)

Don't worry about me. You just save your penny's for 2 days at Calabogie with Pro 6. Great people and a great track.

Like planning a wedding, and then rather than hiring a catering company or hall that provides you the serving staff, you hire each individually yourself. First try to find them, then the day before 3 call in sick etc etc.

We won't be accepting green group registrations that event.
Will be running 3 groups, either 2 red groups and a yellow, or most likely an "orange" group or a Red A and B group type thing.
Typically green group only runs at about half capacity over the Tuesday and Wednesday of those events, which usually results in a lot of yellow riders asking (or begging) to ride in green pledging to "be nice", with the imaginable fall out.
Also with the volume of racers that come out for pre-National practice, some of our Red riders do not feel comfortable riding in the red group that day and ask to run yellow. So, we are hoping by restricting this event to more experienced riders at CTMP that we will be able to better meet the demands of the clients that typically attend.

Yes, Working on the combos and discount structure now and will be posted shortly.
Without the December show, the best deals will be at our Open Hose on the 14th, in replacement of the show. Not sure of when the cut-off dates are just yet.
