Ok, so i changed my mind from getting the monster 696 to buying a 2012 ninja 650. main reason, it fit me better. at the show on the weekend they were offering the monster for $9000 but if it didn't fit why buy it. So, does anyone know of a Kawi dealer offering any discounts/special pricing at this time on the 2012? If so please let me know.

Being the new model, I doubt anyone's going to have any substantial deals on the 2012 (but would hope 2011 and prior models would be on sale)... that said, I'd recommend Snow City if you're shopping in the Scarborough area, or Kahuna near the Vaughan area, probably your best bets.

I don't know if it's standard practice or not, but I wound up getting a bit of a discount on the bike itself, and then 15% off many of my purchases at Snow City for the season after buying my Ninja 250R from them back at the beginning of the 2010 season. Even without the discount, they're usually pretty good about pricing for me.
 
I don't think you'll see many deals in year one. I too was impressed with the new bike. It's felt a little smaller than my 07 in terms of height and width as I was able to flat foot the bike no problem. The seat felt so much softer and I love the new dash layout. It's on my shopping list for 2013. I'm hoping to score some year end deals this time next year.
 
I just purchased a 2012 ZX14R from twowheel in Guelph. They were willing to deal on the bike. Give Jeff a call and see what he will do.

i found that i was sitting low, when i stood up flat footed the bike was below me. that's the best way i could describe it otherwise it was a stunning bike and would have bought it. I was actually going to put a deposit on it but wanted to compare the two first.
