Some will say... "same old same old".

But I was glad to attend the show for several reasons - my wife got to ride a scooter at the Yamaha Scooter School (throttle governed, front brake disconnected), I got to throw a leg over the 2012 models without any pressure to buy, we were able to put faces to some of the names on this forum and purchased our GTAM tee shirts.

Here are some of the bikes that caught my eye....

ZERO - an electric bike weighing about 300 pounds, a claimed range of about 200km per charge (downhill, one person, wind at your back), 6 -8 hours to recharge. The salesman said it would be a great commuter and can be charged at any 120 volt plug.

Gotta say, I hate the new front-end on the V-Strom. I dunno why, but to me its headlights remind me of some corny cutesy anime character's eyes, or something...

That said, the rest of the bike looks great. If I go tomorrow I'll have to sit on one and actually see it in person.

Agreed, I wonder if some of these designers are having acid flashbacks from there youth???

I couldn't get enough of the new Ducati 1199 Pinnacle.
Amazing machine. So comfortable to sit on too.
Man if I had the mula I'd buy that machine.
Amazing job engineers at Ducati did on that thing. I spent I think 45 minutes looking at It.

I love the new Mv Augusta F3, i haven't seen it yet but from the pics i lke it so far..wow!
Panigale looks interesting but i'm not a v-twin fan...but that's just me;-)

Re: 2011 Toronto (December) Motorcycle Show * Post up your Pictures & Comments *

which model is this!
It's the "S" model.
The 1199 Panigale S is equipped with Öhlins suspension, both on the front and on the rear, that features the innovative Ducati Electronic Suspension (DES). Also made by Öhlins is the adjustable steering damper. In addition, the model rolls on super lightweight forged and machined Marchesini wheels, a carbon fibre front mudguard, full LED headlights and an ?Aero kit?, which consists of an additional wider fairing top-section. The 1199 Panigale S is also equipped with DTC, DQS, EBC and Power Mode combined into the Ducati Riding Modes.
Apperently it goes back in the crate after the show and won't be at the Jan show.
Anyone else notice the cool shock linkage on it?The Ride height adjuster mounts to a pivot point that has an insert that can be removed, turned 180 deg and raise the rear about 40mm.And i think it can be done in a few minutes.
Here's a pre production drawing showing the linkage. The bolted in insert has an arrow on it.It points to either an F (forza?) or a P (i dunno?).

Ape has a giant TUONO V4 sign up and no Tuonos to show off. Reason I didn't bother to go...

The stalker shots? In my experience, if you ask the girl nicely if you can take a picture of her, she won't mind.

Agree they usually don't but I'm just glad someone posted some shots regardless. but thats just me

Nah there were quite a few pretty ones there. But it seems creepy taking pics of/with them, most of them seemed uneasy with the role of being 'eye candy' to begin with and had that look of 'i can't wait until it's done and i get my paycheck' about them.
