2011 Suzuki GSX-R 750

except its not an extra 1500 for new...add dealer prep and taxes and its more like an extra 3500 for new...i do agree with you though, if it were me, i would rather just get a new one

Remind me not to go to whatever dealer those prices are from. Mine wasn't even 2000 over the paid price and I just bought it in April.

Don't forget the interest, insurance, added warranty :lmao:

Before you know it it will be 16K! lol no wonder some of these guys then decide to post their bikes for sale for more than brand new!

The guy i got my last bike from paid 25K after all was said and done!

It's value is exactly what someone is willing to pay.

Two weeks ago I picked up a '2010 750 (stock) for $6500 with 2,185kms - not used since early 2012. Asking price was $7500.

Seems reasonable.

Its crazy what some people "think" a bike is worth, and this thread just illustrates that point exactly.

I wish you had to pay for kijiji ads as well as autotrader. It would eliminate of a lot of delusional prices out there...

You can take taxes out of the equation because you will have to pay it no matter if you buy new or used.

Better be an S1000RR HP4 or Panigale

until i hear about an actual out the door price from an actual named dealer i am calling BS

You have a pm. I don't bs. Newmarket does nothing but bs.

Anyways........... Paul I looked around a little online and your estimate of 6-7 seems to be about on par with the few normal people out there selling a bike with relatively the same km and add ons.

Now I feel cheated :(

Bought an '07 sixxer for 6K... I looked at EVERY bike on the market and that's literally the BEST deal I would get.. everyone else pretty much told me to **** off.

Obviously not hard enough. I picked up my Daytona for under 5k

Details?

I sold my '10 Ninja 250 for 4 grand... Perhaps there are deals out there.. but the way the market is looking people will not part with their bikes for well over market value. This is because there's enough demand to pay close to asking prices. I got told to **** off when I offered well above asking price because they already had offers lined-up.

I felt that 6K for my '07 gsxr with 13K on the dash and a list of upgrades was fair. I sold most of the upgrades with the exception of the full M4 exhaust for almost $500. That brings me down to $5.5K which is pretty good in my opinion. I couldn't find a 2007-2008 with mileage under 15K that would be sold under 7-8K.

The problem is that there are infinite amount of people new to the country that are willing to drop the cash on bikes as they are on condo's and houses (that is well above market value). Nothing you can do about that. Demand is there. It sucks.
