2010 GSX-R 750 vs. 2005 ZRX 1200 race.

In a straight line or around a track?

750 has a 30hp advantage, I vote 750 unless the race is a roll on in a high gear from low rpm, then the 1200 would run away.

I have a co-worker ready to put up a case of beer as to who will win this race. He's got way more torque, but his bike is heavier Well? What say GATM?
Your annoying font size not withstanding, what are you talking about? 1/4 mile? Or top speed run??

The ZRX1200 has a speed of 241kph at max power, your 2010 750 is 280kph, so in top speed, your 750 will spank him :)

Some of you guys really memorize these facts huh?

To the op go out and tell us what really happens

The gsxr will take it. More torque might get the zrx off the line faster but that's all he's got going for him. Come second gear it's bye bye zrx. I'd bet him more than a case of beer ;)

Strictly Quarter Mile. As for Big font sizing, Would you like Bold Colors to go along with them?:p

Thanks for your input TAFB's.

The better rider will win.

This.

There are so many variable that would need to be considered. All things being equal, the 750 is a far faster bike. But, how heavy are the riders? what are they using for rubber? how are the controls set up for launching? who has faster reaction times? who has drag racing experience? suspension set up (although maybe not so relevant for a straight line)? etc.

GSXR, you need to account for aerodynamics as well as power. Unless you really suck at launching.
