2008 Suzuki gs 500f starter switch?

I bought a used 2008 suzuki gs 500 and it was running and i drove it to goodyear to get my brake tags for the bike so it was street legal, and then when i tried to start it and press the start button it would not do anything. I was able to push start it and get it back to my house where i charged the battery and it still wount start. i checked to see if the battery had voltage and it does and i dont know what to do or how to fix it anymore
 
Did you hit the killswitch by accident (the little RED switch on the right, make sure its in the ON position / down) pull in the clutch, in neutral, and just on the kickstand.

*I hit the kill switch a few times by accident going around my bike or something and didnt realize it and took me about 5 min to figure it out, so check that.
 
i just got it started a couple of times and rode it around the block but now the throtale is carching too but i kinda think there is a short in the circut
