*SOLD*
For sale is a 1993 Suzuki GSX1100F (Katana).
My dad gave me this bike in November 2010 for me to ride this year.
Instead I got myself a different starter bike and both he and I don't need this one anymore.
The bike is from Québec and it is still in my father's name, but I can very easily get all the paperwork done for anyone that wants to buy it for the road.
The cons:
- It has a bit of rash because previous owner was pushed over at a stop light.
- Needs front signals.
- Runs very rough when you can get it to start.
- 2 right cylinders have lower compression than they should.
The pros:
- Has the powered windshield that is hard to find in working order (yes it still works).
- Makes for a great transplant patient if you have a 90's GSX1000R motor laying around (this is classified as a sport-touring bike so it will save you tons on insurance).
- I don't have a set price in mind, so any offer that's reasonable will most likely be accepted (if it's a ridiculous offer I will just ignore your messages).
- Will come with the hardcover Haynes service manual.
I do realize that the bike isn't in perfect condition, so as stated any reasonable offer for what the bike really is will most likely take it.
This is being sold as-is, uninsured, unplated and currently not fit for the road until registered in Ontario.
It has a clean title in Québec and shouldn't have an issue coming to Ontario, following the MTO process of course, which I do not know the details (so don't ask me, google it instead).
If you don't want to deal with MTO and safeties and registrations, this is a great parts bike, or something you can turn to track.
It is best to send me a PM on this forum as I check it daily while bored at work.
Cheerios!
